Cora's 2nd birthday party in Salt lake!

One thing I've always loved growing up were our Berry birthday parties. All the family crammed into my parents house, my dad grilling hamburgers, my mama laughing or dancing, us kids running around the backyard. They always felt like festive adventures. And yesterday, my daughter got to have her very own "Berry" party thrown for her here in Salt Lake City. It was so fun for me to celebrate Cora's 2nd birthday in the exact same spot I used to celebrate with my little friends growing up!

Just for the record, Cora loooooved eating this cake. Just ask her Tia.

Cora loved all her special decorations. She was so excited to see her salt lake friends + family, and an extra special visit from her two cousins, auntie + uncle, who live in Houston! (We planned our vacations to coincide)

Cora recieved some pretty cool sunglasses as a gift from her uncle Brandon. (She wears them to be more like Haim, her favorite band.)

Cora's Tia orchestrated her entire party, from the invites to the decorations. A very heartfelt thank you to Sabrina for all your love and generosity!! Wow!

Cora recieved SO MANY wonderful gifts. My goodness! Thank you so much to all her family + friends who could come out to her party! We were so glad to see you all again! Thank you! We love you all so much.

Meeting my new nephew for the first time!

Cousins!

~a very happy 2nd birthday to our dearest Coco. You are loved. You are loved indeed!

Cora turns 2! Here in St. Louis

Our little Coco is turning two next week! We will be in Salt Lake City but wanted to throw her a party so she could celebrate with her St. Louis friends who love her dearly.

We made preparations for a small gathering of close friends and it went so well! Cora knew something special was happening because she was too excited to nap. (She was jumping up and down + laughing in her crib the whole time)

Coras Godmother Jennie made her cake. And we absolutely loved it! Cora loves Olaf and the first thing she did when she saw him was give him a kiss.

wow! Thank you Jennie!

We had Fitz rootbeer, coffee, lots of fruits, veggies + other snacks.

Here's our clan!

Not ALL smiles, but we'll take what we can get

That's one pretty darn adorable bunch right there!

Hanging in the kitchen...

Time to EAT!

Where's Ollie? In his nana's arms of course ;)

I made Carnitas for supper. Started out with 15 lbs of pork roast and ended with only a few leftovers. Success!

Time for "Third Floor Laundry Basket Rides!"

Weeeeee! The children had a blast!

Cake + ice cream time!

Cora received such wonderful gifts from her friends! Books, a darling homemade dress, more clothes, cooking utensils, legos, and a radio flyer wagon!

Ollie + I snuck upstairs for a nursy session and a selfie ;)

Happy Birthday our dearest Cora Alys. You bring so much JOY to our lives, its almost too much to take in. We loved to watch you play with your friends, to sing your favorite hymn for you, and just to celebrate YOU. We love you Coco. Happy 2nd Birthday!
