Hello Peru, Indiana!

Last weekend, Jonathan and I went on a road trip with some good friends of ours to the great Peru, Indiana! (My friends home town) It was a cute little town and not just because it was covered in 6" of snow :) I loved getting to see all the places and people I've heard so much about! Like childhood friends and where they grew up, little favorite antique shops, the quaint Rosewood Mansion Inn where my friends got married that I've seen in a little painting (a wedding gift!) All these things and more, we enjoyed last weekend.

The Lazaroni Macaroni came along, especially to visit his bff...

...Schmultzy! He was the biggest, cutest, sweetest dog I've met (& I am a cat lover) And I'm sure Laz misses him already.

My friend and her amazing mother, of whom makes thee tastiest stew, homemade lasagna from her sicilian grandfathers recipe! Blueberry & peach pie and more! I may have gained a few pounds but I don't regret a single calorie. I think the best of it all is, She reminds me so much of my mother! Jonathan and I loved getting to know her mom & dad.

Lookin good!

Late Saturday night, a bunch of us went to the nearby park to sled. I underestimated the face mask. Didn't think I needed one and I've never been more wrong. We had fun all the same!

Blue Steel?

Libby and her husband Kai

Stacey and Lita (It was Lita's wedding reception over the weekend, before she moves to Germany!)

Laz slept in Jonathans lap for part of the trip, he was so cute! It was fun to get away and not worry about studying, (well most of us) John Cline was studying in the car while driving to and from Indiana - he is quite determined. But it's back to the books. Happy weekend!
