Cora's First Swing

What a breath of fresh air (LITERALLY) to have such lovely weather as of late. We woke to thunderstorms and a gentle rainfall. Then we made our way downstairs for coffee (for me) and breakfast for little miss. Then Coco played while I had some quiet time. The weather cleared and everything was fresh and the air smelled of rain and it was delightful! Later this afternoon, we drove by our neighborhood park/playground and I thought, what a perfect day to let Cora have her first swing experience! So that's what we did!

She was a little unsure at first but then after I gave her a gentle push, she was ALL ABOUT IT!

Oh and Coco turned 11 months on Tuesday! Happy 11 months Cora Bug! You're our absolute favorite and I can't imagine life without you. XOXO

All for now, thanks for reading!

Downstairs Bath

So I thought I could live with this color for maybe another year or so but I just couldn't. The color was this hot fuchsia or maroon color. Not red but not quite purple, somewhere in between. Now I give the previous owners props cause bathrooms can do vibrant colors, they work. But I just couldn't take the color anymore. It's just not ME, not my style AT ALL. So I went to town one day and painted over it including my favorite part, the ceiling!!

Ta-Da! So not vibrant which is traditional for small spaces like bathrooms but this deep navy blue just makes me HAPPY. I think it pairs well with the GOLD and smidgens of YELLOW, (sigh) I'm in love with it.

I also took off the ugly chrome bar (the towels hung too low and onto my little table here which I like there) and I just left the inner hardware pieces from the bar so now I can hang towels like this! PS the Jesus portrait is more of just a joke, I had it in the closet from Jonathan's old things and thought I'd set him there until I find a more permanent piece. ;)

And the CEILING! Fabulous! I was going to paint just a metallic gold border around the perimeter but it was hard to make that look nice and straight so I painted the whole thing which looks better anyway! I painted it all by hand, meaning without a roller, so when the light hits it you could see the different brushstrokes. I am happy with the results.

Thanks for viewing!
