Home Again

We flew into Salt Lake City last week to visit our families and attend the wedding of a beloved friend.

I surprised Emma and Sophia by picking them up from school. They are so big! I remember attending the same school and learning in the very same halls and classrooms that Emma and Sophia now learn in. I got to see Emma's adorable locker and meet some of her friends!

At the rehearsal dinner, we got to see all our old SLC college friends. We miss them all so much! (*The Groom is in the middle*)

Emma made nutella cupcakes found here for her class.

They were SO great

Sophia here, displaying the homemade nutella frosting

A trip to Sur La Table is always good for the soul. We purchased an ice cream/sorbet maker and Emma and Sophia got to pick out some baking supplies.

Falling asleep on the way home

Now the other way around.

One of my very good friends from back home (and I) at the wedding. The halo around her head was not planned that way. But i must admit, it is pretty rad.

On our way to Gormandise for breakfast.

Sophia's first mango. How is it my mother never bought mangos!?

Pom juice for homemade sorbet

Rum balls for breakfast, anyone?

Visiting with my in-laws was very fun. As you can see, the girls had a great time with Jonathan, as usual :)

Hanging out on the porch on a beautiful afternoon, eating strawberries and spitting seeds.

We had a contest to see who could spit the farthest. Sophia won.

Look how beautiful they are becoming! A little grumpy on a Sunday morning, but cute all the same. And I miss them already!
