Navy Closet

Pardon the mess! This is just to give you an idea of the color before hand. Can we call that a color? hmm... Well we have this great space that we use as a walk-in closet right off our bedroom. Many of these old houses have this tiny little room directly above the front door. It's a strange room with a closet cause at one point, it looks like there was a fireplace given the flue but I don't know.

Anyway, it wasn't really high on the priority list because, I guess there were too many other rooms to deal with. But why leave a highly functional, highly used room for last!? oh well, it's done now. Here it is!

My mother-in-law made me these lovely curtains. They were originally for the main living room but you know me, always switching it up. But they're perfect for this beloved little room now. I think they go so well with the dark navy walls and they let lots of light in (but not too much direct light because that could bleach our clothes over time, yikes.)

Of course, rooms are never really done. There will always be that perfect lamp you find later or that sweet brass frame for the vanity, but it's nice to finally have the walls painted in a cozy color we love. And it goes so well with the lavender master bedroom right next to it!

Thanks for reading and happy painting!
