In addition to the homework that currently resides on the table awaiting my company, my new sewing machine (from my *lovely* mother-in-law!) called to me as well. So after a beautiful morning at Soulard Farmers Market with Jonathan (to purchase 30+ tomatoes for our canning project tmrw!) we finished up a netflix'd film while I started on a green grocery craft...
Round up all those tee-shirts that you never wear and make some homemade grocery totes! I found the how-to here. Basically cut off the sleeves and around the neck, hem the base with some french seams ...
Make some slits for stretching and produce breathing...
And ta-da! A new handmade friend for the grocery...
(I will keep you posted on how our canning adventure turns out tomorrow!...)
I made a broncos bag too, this one was super as well!
Very nice and handy! I am always trying to get Jake to use the bags I made from duck cloth...he usually forgets them in the car. Good luck canning!
